13 pc Set Recvd, and it worked
Overall, the set gets 5 stars because it contained (more than) the parts advertised, and it worked for the intended purpose - the #5 torq driver opened the battery compartment on a Philips Pronto 9400 remote control. Quality? The 13 pieces cost $10. At that price, the quality is *at least* as expected.Note that the set I received on 1/6/12 had 13 pieces:- 7 Torq drivers and 2 tweezers as shown.- 1 plastic prying tool, double-ended, green.- 1 flat + 1 philps head "jeweler's" screwdrivers, black plastic-like.- 1 unidentifed piece, a screwdriver-like piece I would describe as a "jeweler's size" awl.The set came in a re-sealable plastic bag, inside a small bubble-mailer, inside an Amazon box. The bag+mailer are adequate as a storage pouch.

...you say 'cheapskate', I say 'frugal'
I was about to return this phone because Verizon wanted a $45 data plan just to activate it; then I read the brilliant comments by Chuck Homic.Opening the package, I saw the ESN/MEID HEX printed on the box. I held down the power button until the PALM light lit up on-screen. It took a while for it to boot up. The phone tried twice to call Verizon and activate itself, to no avail.On another phone, I called the Page Plus Cellular toll-free number and gave them the Pixi's MEID and the phone number that I wanted ported from my active, prepaid Verizon phone. They gave me a 'Premier Package' 6-digit activation code to dial from Pixi, and said that Verizon is usually quick to release your old number and to call back when they have done so.It took about an hour or so that the old cell number stopped ringing the old phone, indicating that it had been ported.In order to dial the activation code on the Pixi, you first press the little phone symbol...

Great Entry Smartphone, Not good for intense users.
I bought this Palm Pixi Plus to replace a failing Palm Pre Plus. My biggest complaint about the Pre Plus was its keyboard, it was hard to use, and keys often failed. It was my third Pre, and I still have time on my contract, so even though I want to switch to an Android based phone, I chose to go with this because the price (where as an Android phone would be much more expensive).Positives:So far, my experience with the Palm Pixi Plus has been much better than the Palm Pre Plus. The hardware seems to be built a little better (no sliding moving parts), the keyboard is much easier to use and is responsive (however, my "R" key needs to be pushed a little harder than the others to respond. Even though it "clicks", it won't type until you press just a little bit more. Still MUCH better than my Pre.) I like the size of the Pixi better than the Pre as I'm not a fan of having a huge smart phone.I only really use the device to receive e-mail, check social...

Great Product
I was worried about this product because of some of the written reviews, but I am very happy with what I received. After originally ordering the wrong part (AT&T vs. Verizon), I ordered this for overnight delivery. The product arrived the next morning and had everything as shown in the picture (this was the only one I found that actually shipped with the adhesive).As mentioned by others, there is no screen for the ear piece. I was able to salvage the original screen and there was enough adhesive to attach it to the new screen.If this is your first time repairing a phone then be prepared to set aside plenty of time as this is not an easy install.Problem areas I encountered..The battery did not come out easily. The plastic pull strip broke and I then needed to carefully pry the battery out. I started where the strip was and gradually pried around the battery anywhere that did not seem to have sensitive connectors.I kept a piece...

You get what you paid for.
Although I was skeptical about purchase this item, I figured, for $29, why not take a gamble?Dismantling the entire phone was a tedious process and took more than 2 hours. The screws are comically small and some of them strip if not enough, or too much, pressure is applied.The seller included the entire kit, along with an iPhone screen. After two hours of fiddling with screws and straining my fingers, the screen was installed. I turned it on, and it seemed to be working. There was a small, almost unnoticeable blotch in the upper corner (still cannot notice it), and the screen had a strong back-light. There's a purple-bluish tint to the screen and it shines like a Sega Game Gear--unlike the OEM screen.But, for $29, it's sufficient. The screen is no longer cracked and I can use the phone without cutting myself on broken glass. Yes, it's a cheaper, Chinese imitation, but I'm generally satisfied and it seems to be holding up well enough, without...

It makes a decent budget phone... certainly not an iphone!
It is a budget phone because I don't see any function I am interested in, aside from:1)the full QWERTY keypad2)the touchscreen.3)world phone-- uses any of the 4 available bands for use everywhere.4)standard cameraVery basic otherwise, but it is a world phone... which is useful if you travel at all.The bad: it has a sensitive touchpad that isn't good for fat fingers. Also, it is entirely made of plastic. For both of those reasons, if you are delicate, this phone is ideal.Because of these issues I will take of one star. If it was made by Apple or Motorola I would have taken off two stars since I would have expected more.
