Great Phone
I've had this phone for almost a year now and other than the occasional dropped call (probably service, not phone), I love it! No, it's not a smartphone, but it does exactly what I need it to do. I'm always using mine to send pictures to Facebook and I have to say that it takes some pretty good pics. It may not be the best phone for someone with big hands as the keys are pretty small and take some getting used to. All in all I would recommend it.

Great phone
My blackberry ate the dust so I decided to buy this phone because I did not have an upgrade available. I really like the features and the price is second to none. The weakest part of this phone is the camera and the lack of video camera. The internet is sufficient for my needs. Call quality is very good and there is an external memory slot which is really handy. I would recommend get a silicone skin, amazon has good deals on them.For anyone who needs an att phone and doesn't have an upgrade the a187 is a great choice, highly recommended.

Excellent, Excellent Phone
I love this phone, I have had it a month or so now, it gives me reception in alot of areas that my daughters blackberry will not hardly pick up on. Works great with bluetooth, has a lock on the keypad to keep mishaps from happening if I drop it in my handbag. I may order another before to long, when there is a great phone it seems like they don't stay around long. The battery life is excellent. I charge mine once every three to four days. I am a medium user, talk some, text some, so the phone is far better than what I had before. Battery life was my first concern, did not want to have to recharge everyday, with this one I do not, the speaker works well without problems, the sound quality is very good, volume is easy to up or down (button on the side) if you want camera quality then this phone does not take pics like the iphone, but its decent, if your more concerned about getting reception and good connection then this phone is for you.

I have had this phone for about 6 months now and have had NO problems out of it. I read reviews that talked about the screen freezing up but this has never happened to me. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

This phone is great I love it!!! As a teenager I text alot so the keyboard is perfect!!!!! I LOVE THIS PHONE SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! there is one thing I think you should know about this phone though. when I had my old phone i was able to record somethig and make it my ringtone, but on the lg you can only use non recorded things and you cant send someone a song over 1 minute other than that this phone is great!!!

Good price - GREAT Phone
The husband and I are no longer under contract, and did not want to get back into one just to get an affordable phone with the features he needs. Sidekick LX 2009 Review from an AT&T Customer
I recently ditched an Android phone (along with a $100 per month plan) for a $25/month talk & text plan on AT&T. I was previously a T-Mobile customer, and before the Danger servers went down for good, I used a Sidekick Slide, and the 2008 Gekko. I am not new to Sidekicks at all. That being said, this phone is excellent to use unlocked on a talk & text plan. I even changed the settings in MMS so that picture messages DO work on AT&T. The only con to this phone is that the data will NEVER work as they're set up to only connect to Danger servers, and those are gone forever. It has nothing to do with the carrier, or your plan. The servers are never coming back, so there will never be data functions on this phone. As far as what I'm using it for, it is perfect. I bought this phone because I missed the 5-row QWERTY keyboard and the general layout of the Danger OS. (I was originally going to break out my 08 and unlock it, but it turns out, unlocking a Sidekick costs like $40 and a brand new...

I bought this phone from two different vendors to replace mine and my daughter's cell. I gave the first one (from Masterdeals) to my daughter because her old phone was really acting up. It works really well, so I ordered another from Unlocked Cell Phone Kings.The first phone has been working flawlessly for my daughter, the second phone starting acting up only a week and a half later. I called Unlocked Cell Phone Kings and they emailed me a RMA form. It took two weeks to get replacement from when I sent the defective unit back.I bought a new phone, but recieved a refurbished phone. It "looks" new, but was in a plain jane box and the screen shipping protector was too big, over hanging the phone. However, this phone has worked pretty much flawlessly. Feels like a toy, Works like a phone
I was skeptic about buying this phone at first, but it has proven to be workable so far. I would recommend this phone to others, especially those who lose it easily like me. It works well, looks nice, great for txting (except when it takes forever to load), and although the camera is only 2MP the quality is really good. The touch screen is a bit unresponsive, but it's what a first generation touch screen phone should be like so no biggy. I've dropped it a few times, and it has produced a bit of a jingle when the phone vibrates, but according to other listeners, I'm the only who can hear it. Overall, this phone is good for its price.P.S. it comes with phone strap holes so that's a plus (can't find many phones nowadays with those XD)

So, I got this phone to use with a plan we already have. It's pretty good for texting (threaded texts), taking a reasonable picture, or using instant messenger.A few things I don't like about it:There's no subject line for if you want to add a caption to a picture you are sending to facebook via mms.The middle button, when pressed at the home menu, will bring up the internet. (Creates bad accidents if you don't have a good data plan)If the directional button is pushed to the left, email pops up. (Another thing to remember to avoid)Menus are cumbersome if you don't set shortcuts.I've had some issues where my keyboard input is lysdexic and places letters in the wrong order from what I typed.Adding a ringtone is difficult for this phone, unless maybe you buy one through at&t.
